Samsung Galaxy S II Arrives in the U.S. via AT&T

AT&T; is one of the first carriers to offer Samsung's Android flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S II, which already arrived in European stores. The AT&T; variant of the smartphone features the same specs as the original, including the dual-core 1.2 GHz processor for super-fast multitasking and the brilliant 4.27-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. The phone is delivered with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and boasts an 8-megapixel camera with support for 1080p HD video recording, as well as a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling. In addition, AT&T; Samsung Galaxy S II offers HSPA+ support, along with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, built-in GPS receiver, and 3.5mm headphone jack. The same amount of storage is offered (16GB), as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). The smartphone is available for purchase from AT&T; for $199.99 (about 150 EUR) with a new two-year agreement.

Samsung Wave 3 – Powered by Bada 2.0 platform

Samsung Wave 3 – Powered by Bada 2.0 platform

Samsung S8600 Wave 3 is among the first smartphones to run bada 2.0, Samsung's new mobile platform. Even though the phone's hardware is not as impressive as other high-end Android smartphones, it's the most powerful bada phone to date. The phone features a solid unibody design and is made from anodized aluminum. It comes with a 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that supports 480 x 800 pixels and is protected against scratches by Gorilla Glass. Wave 3 is equipped with a 1.4Ghz processor, one of the fastest single core CPUs available on the market. Software-wise the handset runs Samsung's TouchWiz user interface and features the new ChatON messaging service. A high capacity 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery is also included, along with a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, as well as HSDPA support. There is no information regarding the phone's pricing options or availability, but hopefully it will hit shelves by year's end.
