Get Custom Buttons with Button Maker
May 14th, 2007
If you run your own blog or do web design, here is a great site to have bookmarked for future reference. ÂÂ
The Button Maker by Adam Kalsey is a nice generator that allows you to create a button with whatever you want on it.  You get to type your button text, then you can choose the text, border, and background colors.  Once your done, click submit and you’ve got yourself a button!
If your blogging service doesn’t allow you to host your own pictures, I recommend using Photobucket to host your pictures for free.  Simply upload the button and copy the code it gives you.  You can then paste it into your sidebar or wherever you want it to appear on your website.ÂÂ

For some reasons, I don’t see as many blogs using these buttons now. Have you notice that too Kyle?
Andy – I certainly have. I think as more bloggers convert over to a Web 2.0 mindset, these buttons have sort of gone away. Although I like the buttons and think they have a place, they do kind of remind me of the 90’s.
I agree with you.. these buttons do give us a retro feel
It’s a good generator for starters, i usually draw buttons with my image editing application.
Green – Which image editing application do you use?
