    HIGHLIGHTS:

Samsung Omnia upgrades to version II - much better stats

The new Samsung Omnia II (I8000) runs under Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.1 OS, yet it will support the upgrade to the upcoming WinMo 6.5 iteration. At the same time, the phone also includes a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display, which can offer an impressive resolution. Other features of the handset include the TouchWiz 2.0 UI, Advanced R Touch (Resistive Touch) that “enables faster, more accurate touch response,” as Samsung states, Wi-Fi, HSUPA 5.76Mbps, HSDPA 7.2Mbps connectivity as well as a series of multimedia capabilities, such as 480p video recording and playback, Internet browsing and interactive 3D games. At the same time, the device also comes with an impressive 48GB of storage space. It looks like the Omnia II should come to the market on at Verizon Wireless network operator, later this year.

iPhone 3G S - The third version of Apple's smartphone is ON

The new iPhone that comes to the market includes a larger internal memory compared to its predecessors, as it has been enhanced from 8GB and 16GB on the iPhone 3G to 16GB and 32GB. It also features new A2DP support, a faster processor, a 7.2Mbps HSDPA-compatible radio, a 3.2-megapixel camera (up from 2-megapixel on the 3G), 30fps video recording (coupled with video editing and video sharing), a compass, enhanced battery life, cut-and-paste functionality, landscape keyboard, and a new OS (which includes 100 improvements over previous versions, Apple says). Among the new features, we can mention the $199 price for the 16GB version and the $299 one for the 32GB version on a contract, while the price for the 8GB iPhone 3G went down to $99. In addition, it seems that the new iPhone 3G S looks exactly the same as the predecessor, and features Voice Control and integrated hardware encryption.
