In Learning Web Design, Jennifer Niederst shares the knowledge she's gained from years of experience as both web designer and teacher. She starts from the very beginning--defining the Internet, the Web, browsers, and URLs--assuming no previous knowledge of how the Web works. Why would you write a book about learning web design that doesn't even cover XHTML which is the current standard? Yet another book that promotes bad habits in web design for the sake of making learning simple. Instead "Learning Web Design" should have covered the basics of XHTML and CSS.

"This great book will take you through HTML and all the elements of Web design. It's a beginners guide, but it's great for non-beginners as well. It covers many elements of Web design, from HTML, to graphics, to layout."
--"About Computers," Mar 18, 2003
"Extremely interesting and beneficial. It not only approached the subject from a practitioner's perspective, it presented information in a manner that most users with basic computer and Internet skills can easily grasp and understand. I found the tables, tips, and summations on various pages to be excellent."
