What is the XML API Partner program?

A. Domain Search Engine Licensing
The simple answer is Name Intelligence can enable your company with the ability to remotely interact with the same engine that handles displaying results on Domain Tools's website. The benefit of remotely interfacing is that by enabling your own order processing system to seamlessly and invisible pull results from us your own customers will be able to find domains they wish to register much faster.
B. Who is eligible to be an XML API Partner
We strongly encourage ICANN Registrars due to the fact they have undergone all the programming to interface with ICANN Registries. Some resellers also have good experience using registrar's APIs and they make good candidate as well for our XML API partner program.
C. Different Plans
Developer Account

Queries 100 per day

Cost Free queries

Only one developer account per organization. Using multiple accounts will result in a permanent ban. These accounts are designed for personal use and for developers to design systems that integrate with the API. System resets the 100 query limit at midnight PST.
Reseller Account

Queries About 4,375 searches per Month

Cost $35 per Month Minimum
+ ($0.008 per query over monthly min)

Registrar Account

Queries About 142,857 searches per Month

Cost $1000 per Month Minimum
+ ($0.007 per query over monthly min)

After the programmer passes in parameters they will receive an XML stream back that looks very similar to this one. The XML is relatively easy to parse and the response time for the API server is extremely fast.
