What are the three best things about working at Educational Development & Technology Centre, UNSW?
First and foremost the people. I love my co-workers and get along with every single one of them - which I relish the opportunity to say. They are a really talented group of people who I benefit just from being around. I've learned a lot from these people and continue to do so each and every day.

Secondly, the work. I have the opportunity to do lots of different and interesting things during the course of the day. Not only do they keep things interesting, they also present challenges that help inspire growth, which in turns enhances my abilities and adds to my value as an employee. I am now able to do things that I couldn't imagine accomplishing 5 years ago.

Thirdly, the setting. I absolutely adore the university environment. It provides staff with an incredible number of opportunities for personal growth, ongoing education, and collaboration that I have never run across any where else. The presence of students pursuing a huge spectrum of different degrees also creates a sense of curiosity and excitement, which prevents things from growing boring.

What's your daily commute like at Educational Development & Technology Centre, UNSW?
I catch the 5:55 am train from the Blue Mountains and arrive at Sydney Central Station at 7:45, and then catch the express bus straight to the university and arrive at work at 8:15 am. Fortunately it stops at Central, otherwise I'd constantly be missing my stop because I always fall asleep.
How much coffee do you drink daily at Educational Development & Technology Centre, UNSW?
Well considering I get up at 4:30 am and then commute 2 1/2 hours to and from work Monday through Friday coffee is not a luxury; it's a necessity.
